Who we are across Australia
Diompillor SA is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit community organisation supporting migrant families from Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone who have made South Australia their new home. We’re here to stand beside children, youth, and families by offering programs that make a real difference in people’s lives.
We focus on cultural connection, health awareness, grief support, and working with others to improve the wellbeing of Kissi people across the state. It does not matter if you’re new to Australia or have been here for years, Diompillor SA is a place where you can belong, contribute, and grow.

Our Vision
To be united and have a vibrant community for every Liberian, Guinean, and Sierra Leonean refugee migrant child, youth, and family in South Australia.
What we do
We run simple, impactful programs shaped by the real needs of our community

- We help our community understand important health topics by sharing information in ways that are easy to follow and culturally relevant. Whether it’s about mental health, family well-being, or where to access healthcare services, we make sure families don’t feel lost or alone. Our workshops, events, and outreach programs are all about making health education accessible and empowering people to take care of themselves and their loved ones.

- Our culture is a source of pride, identity, and strength. That’s why we actively promote traditional dance, music, storytelling, and language through community events and youth engagement programs. These activities not only keep our rich heritage alive but also help young people feel connected to who they are, especially those growing up in Australia. It’s a way to honor our past while building confidence and belonging in the present.

We bring families together through group events, social outings, and inclusive programs designed to strengthen relationships and build community. These activities offer safe spaces for children to play, parents to share experiences, and community members to support one another. It’s not just about fun, it’s about creating environments where families feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

We understand how hard it is to lose a loved one, especially far from home. That’s why we offer emotional and practical support to families dealing with grief. Whether it’s through financial support, comforting conversations, helping with arrangements, or simply being present, we always stand by our people in times of sorrow. Our goal is to make sure no one walks through loss alone.

We actively work with councils, service providers, and other migrant groups to make sure our community’s voice is heard. By building strong partnerships, we help shape policies, connect people to resources, and open doors to new opportunities. Our collaboration efforts ensure that Kissi families in South Australia are not left behind but are part of meaningful conversations and solutions.
